Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth Rahuri constituted one of the biggest agriculture related educational hub viz; Krishi Vidnyan Sankul, (KVS) Kashti has been established in the year 2020- 21 with due efforts of the then Agricultural Minister for state of Maharashtra Shri. Dadaji Bhuse.
There are six agricultural related streams in which five governments under graduate colleges and one agriculture polytechnic. College of Agri-Business Management was started from 2020-21, Food Technology and Agriculture polytechnic were started from 2021-22 and remaining three colleges i.e. College of Agriculture, College of Horticulture and College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology were started from 2022-23.
About Us
Krishi Vidnyan Sankul Kashti (KVS) is one of the agricultural educational hub in western Maharashtra with 622.60 acres (249.04 ha). Numerous students from every corner of India come to enrol and be part of this Sankul. Kashti is situated at 6 KM from Malegaon (Dist. Nashik) which is a quite, safe and peaceful city as compared to other educational centres in Maharashtra. The climate of Kashti (Malegaon) is pleasant and good for health. Krishi Vidnyan Sankul Kashti is established on 21th September, 2020 under Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri. It offers excellent programs in various areas including Argil. Polytechnic, Agri- Business Management, Argil. Food Technology, Agriculture, Horticulture and Agri-Engineering in campus of Krishi Vidnyan Sankul. Attracts the many students due to its excellent facilities of government of Maharashtra. It offers good accommodation, sports, cultural, Resarch and technology based projects and production units, Dairy, poultry, sericulture, vermiculture, apiculture, bakery, bio chemicals and fertilizers, seed production, soil and water testing, processed food products, library, guesthouse, farmers facility centre, farmers training center, gymnasium, advanced student training and learning , marketing information centre facility. There is a provision of hostel for the students. There is a well-stocked library containing plenty of books regarding various subjects. The college offers different scholarships to the students. The college conducts seminars and conferences for the students.
